Get ready for a night of authentic Texas Americana as Brock Bushong & The Still Shakes take the stage for a special live session at the legendary Texas Music Cafe in Waco.

Known for a sound that captures the “open road, the dust, the heartbreak, and the hope,” Brock Bushong brings a gritty, soulful edge to the singer-songwriter tradition. Backed by the raw energy of The Still Shakes, this performance promises to be an evocative journey through roots-rock and modern folk.

  • MACT Meeting and Open Jam July 212026

MACT provides opportunities for musicians to network, develop their craft, showcase their talents, and stay connected to the Central Texas music community. During the evening, attendees will have the chance to learn more about MACT’s programs, events, artist spotlights, member benefits, and the annual Groovy Awards while meeting musicians, venue owners, and music supporters from throughout the region.

A backline and sound system will be provided. All skill levels and musical styles are welcome. Play solo, join a group, collaborate with new friends, or simply enjoy the music from the audience.

  • Sherman Ayres Presents Musical Gumbo July 25 2026

One year ago, Sherman Ayres’ first sold out TMC performance left those in attendance eager for more. Ayres, is back, with an offering of his special ‘Musical Gumbo.’ The foundation stock is laced with R&B and Jazz seasoning. One parts each of Country and Pop with equal parts Gospel, Blues, and Ballads. The after-dinner offering will include a smidgen of Swing and Rockabilly. Each spoonful will taste a little bit different. Just like Gumbo. 

Backed by legendary players Cedric Ballou, Pat Kelly’ and Rick Terry with special guest Myron Crowell on keyboards. Expect a night of magical energy throughout.
